I was born in 1988, I grew up in suburbs of Riga, middle of many stored concrete buildings, mix of asphalt and forest, half of a city person, half of a wild child- these factors did develop shaky background of mine, I’m always something in middle of yes or no, in-between yesterday and tomorrow-it’s hard to define, but it gives an unique driving force, urge to express myself.
I am inspired by little things, tiny objects also from Latvian writers like Imants Ziedonis, Nora Ikstena, Jana Egle and so on, but inspiration is a funny thing, you see some almost unmeaning things combine them and get something tremendous, it’s funny how 0+0= ∞
magical magical. Lot of inspiration I get from urban objects, smudges and stains on city walls, from extraordinary places, landscapes, also I get moved by wise – old people, they have lot of useful information, we should listen to.
